What to do in an emergency

Hammond & Co maintain an after-hours phone line for instances that are considered an emergency and require an immediate response. If you are experiencing any of the events outlined below at your rental property outside of Hammond & Co's operating hours, please phone 0508 426 326, and we can help resolve your issue.

  • Unsecured premises due to a break-in – please call the Police on 111 first
  • Fire or smoke – if a fire is established, please call Fire and Emergency on 111 first
  • Serious roof leak or gas leak.
  • Dangerous electrical fault
  • Overflowing drains or sewage
  • No toilet/s due to a blockage/s
  • No power – please confirm with your power company that this is not due to an outage in your area first
  • House alarm has triggered and will not turn off
  • No water – please confirm with Watercare that this is not due to known issues in your area first
  • A serious water leak or plumbing problems – try and locate your mains water valve and turn this off

The following events are not considered an emergency

Our Tenant Concierge service (below) should be used to remedy the issue.

  • No power – if it is a power company issue
  • No water – if it is a Watercare issue
  • No hot water
  • No cooking facilities
  • Appliance failure
  • Lost keys – please phone a locksmith
